Iranian authorities executed Khalil Afghan, a 25-year-old Afghan national, at Zahedan Central Prison. 

According to information received by Hengaw, the execution was carried out at dawn on September 13, 2026.
He was tried and sentenced to death alongside Asghar Pishahang, a 34-year-old Baloch prisoner whose execution was previously reported by Hengaw.
Based on information received, the two men were arrested in Konarak County in 2022 and initially transferred to Chabahar Prison. Khalil Afghan was later transferred to Zahedan Central Prison for the implementation of his death sentence.
Iranian state media have not announced the execution.
